We are seeking an HR Analyst to support our Commercial, Development, and Finance teams. In this position you will assist Senior HR Business Partners and the Director, HR develop reports and analyze data, implement employee transactions in the Workday HRIS platform, provide data management, project support to meet the needs of AES’ Clean Energy HR unit.
This position will be based in Houston, Texas, at the AES Clean Energy office in Downtown Houston. Remote working options will be considered. The role requires great attention to detail, organization, technology proficiency, and the ability to work on multiple tasks at once.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support HR in opening positions, transforming headcount, and implementing organizational changes in Workday
  • Running reports and analyzing data with particular emphasis on employee statistics
  • Facilitate calibrations (system) and update succession plans in Workday as needed
  • Perform analysis on an ad hoc basis, as requested by the Senior HR BP and Director, HR
  • Address a high volume of system-related activities in a timely fashion while maintaining a high level of quality and internal customer happiness
  • Addressing and correcting administrative issues within Workday such as PTO, employee leaves, and more
  • Maintain HR data integrity by ensuring data input is accurate and consistent. Audit people data and troubleshoot and accurate irregularities. Support data governance processes
  • Support periodic processes and ad hoc projects as needed, to cover periods of peak volume and/or advance central initiatives
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years’ experience in program management, process improvement, analytical and/or HR field, preferably in a professional setting
  • Ability to see the big picture and seek for the details
  • Highly proficient with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook; knowledge of MS Teams preferred
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong influencing and teamwork skills
  • Strong analytical and data processing skills
  • Ability to multitask and work with minimal direction
  • BA/BS in business, human resources, interpersonal leadership, social science, business administration, data analytics, or related field is required
  • Proven experience in Workday
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, across all levels and all times

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $60,000 and $76,500/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
