Job Description

Job Summary

As the Head of Emerging Products, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our point-of-sale financing strategy. You will lead a team, manage the end-to-end profit and loss (P&L), and drive the growth and success of our point-of-sale financing division. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-growth company and contribute to the build-out and expansion of an exciting product.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the division's performance against targets.
  • Analyze financial data and market trends to identify opportunities and optimize the division's financial outcomes.
  • Take ownership of the division's financial performance, including revenue generation, cost management, and profitability.
  • Provide clear direction, guidance, and mentorship to drive team success and individual growth.
  • Embrace the opportunity to run the point-of-sale financing division as if it were your own company/product, demonstrating ownership and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Develop and execute the overall point-of-sale financing strategy, aligning it with the company's goals and vision.
  • Lead and inspire a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes to inform product development and enhance market competitiveness.
  • Create and implement operational processes and systems to optimize efficiency and scalability while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop a high-performing team, ensuring the right talent is in place to drive divisional success.
  • Foster an innovation and continuous improvement environment, encouraging creative thinking and problem-solving.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching to enable team members' professional growth.
  • Drive the expansion of the product, identifying new market segments, partnerships, and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as product management, engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of strategies.
  • Leverage your deep understanding and background in point-of-sale financing to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Identify product expansion, improvement, and differentiation opportunities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring these initiatives to fruition.


Job Requirements

  • Strong understanding of point-of-sale financing products, market dynamics, and industry best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve extraordinary results.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine, honest, and transparent approach.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a high level of autonomy, initiative, and ownership.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience and track record in leading point-of-sale financing organizations, preferably within a fintech or financial services company.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end P&L and achieve financial targets.
  • Experience in building and optimizing point-of-sale financing teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
