About The Role (and Our Work)
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Growth Lead to join our team, responsible for generating new business opportunities primarily within the B2B and enterprise technology sectors.
You’ll own the process and build a list of target partners from our extensive list of current client partners, desk research, and other intelligence platforms. Your job will be divided into three general areas:
  • Prospecting across various target categories and companies, looking for new leads and opportunities to pursue. This role requires a passion for outreach and building relationships, the ability to quickly identify their needs, and presenting our services as the best solution to help them achieve their business goals.
  • Receiving and assessing inbound requests, quickly determining the opportunity and then shepherding them to the appropriate area of the company.
  • Managing our internal list of senior level contacts and holding a small number of senior executives at Article Group accountable for reaching out to them. This will include working with the AG executives to determine relevant content, news, etc. to leverage when reaching out.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities:
  • Partner with Executive Team to refine and evolve a small but core set of agency assets used in the sales process (one-pager, creds deck, etc)
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan/system to identify, target, and acquire new clients in the B2B and enterprise technology sectors. You will not be starting from scratch as we have a large target list and priority categories and companies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client information, and sales forecasts in our CRM system.
  • Collaborate with our Engagement teams to create proposals and solutions that meet client needs and deliver measurable results.
  • Manage complex sales cycles, negotiate contracts, and close deals in a timely and efficient manner (you will have senior support on larger opportunities).
  • Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to continuously improve sales strategies and enhance client relationships.
  • Be able to conduct in-depth or on-the-fly discovery meetings with potential clients to understand their product or problem, and their unique needs and goals.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Article Group vision, story, culture and output. This includes building familiarity with 15+ case studies.
  • Be excited to attend industry events and other prospecting opportunities.
Requirements
You’ll be an ideal candidate if you have:
  • While a Bachelor's degree is preferred, growth is not something you learn in most colleges. We’re happy to consider candidates who love to hustle and meet our other requirements.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, biz dev or growth, preferably marketing services industry or in the B2B / Enterprise technology world.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote and dynamic environment: You pride yourself in being consistently prepared, clear-minded, and able to communicate desired outcomes.
  • Excited about outreach and a proven track record of managing to sales targets and generating net-net opportunities.
  • Strong relationship-building and networking abilities: You demonstrate confidence, proficiency in craft, and market credibility with prospects, clients, and coworkers.
  • Problem solving and growth mindset: You encounter obstacles and figure out ways around them.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, providing room for the team and client to contribute meaningfully.
  • Comfortable with digital CRM solutions (or a desire to quickly learn)
  • Deep understanding of the B2B and enterprise technology landscape, including key players, trends, and challenges.
