Job Description

Summary


This role manages the product line strategy. Manages the Business Development activities towards target-market penetration. Engages with key customers on future technology roadmap direction. Manages applications solutions engineering global resources in the execution of customer projects.


Principal Accountabilities (Functional)


  • Lead the target-market segment business development activities, interfacing with key existing and target accounts.
  • Interface directly with the sales organization and product development organization, serving as a primary customer point of contact.
  • Review and manage the decisions on customer driven RFQ’s and Specials; Define the scope of work and proposal for large solution based projects.
  • Manage project based budgets and group P&L contribution.
  • Manage product line life cycles end to end.
  • Apply project management and engineering resources to the design and fulfillment of special hardware and software features required to provide solution level deliverables to customer projects.
  • Define the product line offering, positioning and growth strategy; train and support field sales organization.
  • Define a product line roadmap for a 3-year technology innovation plan.


Principal Accountabilities (General Supervisory)


  • Assures efficient and economical utilization of materials, improvement of methods, and elimination of wasteful practices within the department; may include budget development and control.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists employees in solving work-related problems.
  • Develops workforce planning and utilization programs to satisfy actual and projected requirements.
  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable State and Federal laws, including interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, directing work and appraising performance.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required.
  • Implements cross-training and plans for employees toward the development of a highly flexible workforce.
  • Interprets company policies to employees and enforces all safety regulations.
  • Establishes and implements team/individual objectives, including the measurement and documentation.


Minimum Requirements


  • Expert knowledge of high performance advanced packaging, final assembly operations and circuit board assembly.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline; Master's Degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of relative experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing direct and indirect staff.


Responsibility for Quality Procedures or Direct Product Quality


  • Adheres to Universal Quality System policies and procedures and uses Total Cycle Time principles and standard problem solving tools to continuously improve work processes.


Physical Demands


  • Ability to travel to customer sites or technical conferences may occasionally be required.
  • Remaining stationary for extended periods, but needs to be mobile enough to navigate through work areas.
  • Ability to use a computer on a frequent basis.
