Become a General Manager, Distribution Warehousing at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll lead integrated logistics activities across multiple strategic suppliers; ensuring adequacy of supplier support and performance; and drive strategic efforts across entire supply chain, with a primary focus in logistics. In addition, this Manager will support supplier integration and provide continuous improvement efforts within the supplier and SCE organizations. In this role you will serve as a Logistics Section Chief on the Incident Management Team assisting with the logistics of restoration of service following natural disasters and other critical events.

• Lead large-scope projects with site and regional impact
• Support Business Resiliency activities, programs, and scheduled duty.
• Manage a represented (union) workforce while working directly with Contractor Safety to manage low to high risk contractors.
• Work on continuous improvement programs and support corporate strategies and goals.
• Optimize warehouse and transportation activities within SCE space and between integrated suppliers while minimizing variable and fixed costs.
• Responsible for the overall safety, quality, performance of a represented workforce
• Collaborate with cross functional teams including Safety, Inventory, Human Resources, Procurement, and Labor to develop plans to meet business objectives.
• Work with procurement managing contract development, contract management, and contract negotiations.

The essentials

• Flexibility to work on short notice, travel, and support emergent requests 24 hours per day.
• Available to work in multiple locations throughout our territory.
• Valid Driver's License
• Five years of experience managing multiple work groups in a distribution warehouse setting.

The preferred

• Ability to follow Edison Safety protocols and principles and be personally engaged as a Safety leader.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong leadership, communication and negotiating skills and ability to work in a cross functional environment.
• Experience working and/or managing a represented workforce.
• Possess strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in a continuous learning environment.
• Ability to manage team members and direct reports by evaluating employee performance and making personnel decisions.
• Ability to accurately analyze information and make strategic decisions that have cross-organizational impact.
• Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• BA or BS degree or higher in a related field.
• Lean Six Sigma experience and practice.
• Effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.
• Experience developing and implementing short-term and long-term supply chain strategies.
