On-Site Inspection Supervisor Jobs

Streamline Innovations, Inc. is seeking an On-site Inspector Supervisor to assist with the company’s base-build construction. The On-site Inspector Supervisor will be responsible for the implementation of the Owner’s quality control program, including the coordination, performance, and execution of construction inspection services for the projects. The On-site Inspector Supervisor is responsible for assuring that the quality of the work meets or exceeds the project's contractual requirements.

• Record observations from job site inspections and complete inspection reports
• Lead, manage and mentor the subcontractor’s Quality team members
• Develop, implement, and manage the subcontractor performance review schedule
• Hold project teams accountable for quality control program requirements
• Manage and track quality metrics
• Other duties as assigned by company management
• Manage and update 3rd party inspectors in various locations
• Provide weekly QA/QC status updates to management team
• Recommend and implement corrective action based on policies, guidelines, and procedures
• Provide code compliance knowledge and enforcement for both Owner and Subcontractor
• Manage subcontractor’s QA/QC program to ensure it meets Owner's contract requirements and all local/federal codes
• Ensure that all personnel (owner and subcontractors) working on the project understand the code and specification requirements
• Perform onsite field observation of installed work (e.g., welding, system assembly, etc...)

Requirements

Position located in Texas; Candidate does not have to reside in San Antonio, TX.

• Extensive knowledge of ASME codes (B31.3)
• Understands how to research and locate manufacturer's product data and installation guidelines
• Experience in subcontractor, manufacturer, and vendor management
• Minimum of 15+ years Fabrication work experience
• Certified Weld Inspection (CWI) Certification
• Knowledge of ASME codes
• Experience interpreting codes and specifications
• Experience working with the Authority Having Jurisdiction to reach mutually agreeable solutions to technical issues or field issues
• Experience in personnel management, staffing and scheduling
• Experience using MS Excel or related cost estimating software to develop cost estimates for change order negotiations
• Capable of successfully solving difficult technical problems requiring excellent judgment
• Ability to accurately read and interpret design documents (drawings and specifications)
• Thorough knowledge of general fabrication methods and construction codes
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA standards
• Experience with construction practices involving piping and structural fabrication
• Knowledge of building envelope construction and materials
• Experience in the management of quality control & quality assurance (QA/QC) programs for weld fabrication or large industrial ($1-5M) construction projects
• Understands the requirements of ASME Section VIII, ASME B31.3, and general weld fabrication
• Proficiency in various computer design and project scheduling software
