Role

The Finance & Operations Associate will support the Finance & Operations department with various finance and operational tasks with the goal of helping the business to be profitable and efficient.

This is an entry level position reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Operations. The right candidate will be resourceful, proactive, self-motivated, flexible, and open to learning new things. This is a great position for someone interested in learning the business and finance operations of a digital agency or a business in general.

The position is remote and requires flexible hours. The ideal candidate is based in the Tri-State area.

Agency Operations

Project Management / Resourcing / Time Keeping

• Collaborate cross-functionally with the Account, Strategy and Creative teams, as necessary
• Internal project list maintenance
• Daily designer scrum facilitation and resourcing audits
• Follow-up on timesheets both internally and externally and light time logging in Everhour/Asana
• Coordinate with the Project Management Lead upon project closure to initiate the archival process
• Proactive review of time-off requests and flagging those that overlap and might require back-up coverage

Financial/Business Management and Analytics

• Assist with vendor management including preparation of Independent Contract Agreements, W-9s etc
• Assist with day-to-day business operations responsibilities including budget and project creation, contracts drafting and data maintenance across various tools (Asana, Excel etc)
• Perform light bookkeeping duties including creating and entering invoices into QuickBooks, cash reconciliation and running weekly Account Payable reports
• Support and execute weekly business analytics reporting including utilization, project profitability and agency projects forecast
• Database management (Airtable)

Background/Experience and Skills

• Minimum 1 year of agency, consulting or startup experience
• Willingness and desire to support the Finance and Operations team as necessary
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Google Suite, Slack (or similar)
• Track record of working cross-functionally in a fast-paced setting
• Exposure to project management software (Asana and Airtable highly preferred)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or equivalent business experience
• Light bookkeeping experience
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills

Bonus Points

• Work experience in digital and social media industry
• Familiarity with QuickBooks Online, Expensify and Asana

Salary range

• $55,000 - $65,000. Salary commensurate with experience
