JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW
The ED, Sales Leadership Performance is responsible for developing the strategy and execution of all sales leadership effectiveness initiatives that drive rep-level productivity. This includes identifying gaps in sales leader functional skills and capabilities, developing solutions in partnership with sales leadership and other internal partners, and implementing effective solutions that have a long-lasting and measurable impact.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Other projects and responsibilities at the manager’s discretion.
- Develop and maintain a library of functional sales leader resources to support sales managers and leaders in their roles.
- Create a listening strategy with leadership to systematically identify skill gaps and recommend solutions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of programs using standard technology and tools through assessments, surveys, and performance metrics.
- Leverage sales leadership expertise and experience when providing sales leader performance coaching that drives results.
- Outline expectations, roles, and responsibilities of directors of sales and collaborate with partner organizations to gain the support required to enable them and help them successfully manage their teams.
- Improve leadership capabilities for all leaders across the Revenue organization by ensuring they have the tools, functional knowledge, and abilities to drive growth and effectively manage their teams.
- Develop a performance effectiveness framework and structure that delivers the expected level of leadership performance and leverages economies of scale.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders across the company to ensure initiatives and programs are integrated into the broader organizational strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop solutions, provide consultation, and monitor execution to ensure adherence to the agreed upon timelines for development and delivery.
- Accountable for the successful implementation of deliverables and measuring effectiveness.
- Prioritize initiatives based on impact and scalability and develop roadmap to success.
- Stay up to date on best practices in sales management to ensure the company's training programs are cutting-edge and highly impactful.
- Hire, attract, retain, and develop top talent while providing exceptional leadership and driving an engaged culture.
- In collaboration with Sales leadership, establish the strategy and vision of the performance effectiveness function within Sales with clearly identified roles and responsibilities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree desired; or equivalent education and/or related work experience.
Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates):
- N/A
Experience:
- 5+ years of success as a leader of sales leaders
- 15+ years of successful sales leadership experience in a matrixed organization
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven understanding of how to build a performing sales organization through effective sales enablement programs and initiatives.
- Deep expertise in identifying industry trends, content, and needs of the business.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually evolving business and work environment while balancing multiple priorities.
- Passion for collaborating horizontally and vertically within an organization comprised of diverse groups of people; combined with the ability to adeptly navigate various points of view and interests.
- Management of multiple senior-level stakeholders.
- Core competency in communication and executive presentation skills to effectively communicate to senior leadership and across a large sales organization.
- Proven track record of developing sales strategies and processes and clearly and effectively communicating those strategies to the C-Suite.
- A demonstrated dedication to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated experience developing and deploying large-scale, enablement programs that deliver results.

- Travel may be required domestically 25%.

The salary range for this role is $171,465 to $338,031. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience.
A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
