Job Summary:
The Employee Onboarding Supervisor is responsible for the successful support of the Onboarding Specialist and the clients that they serve by leading and developing a specialized operations team and the associated operational processes. This role is responsible for: the daily oversight and development of employees, identifying improvement opportunities for clients and our employees, providing support for client service situations and escalations, procedures, projects, and solutions for MCLAREN HEALTH PLAN COMMUNITY clients.
What You'll Do:
- Proactively and consistently facilitates clear and effective employee and client communication.?
- Assist with internal recruiting and onboarding process for new hires to the Employee Onboarding Team.
- Responsible for recurring supervisory duties including but not limited to employee performance management, recognition and reward, time and attendance tracking, payroll management and approval, and internal employee onboarding and offboarding.
- Supports team members in the creation of SOPs for processes and procedures related to Onboarding service and support.?
- Owns, leads, and facilitates collaboration internally and externally to establish client success.
- Creates and delivers proactive employee training sessions for the team based on client needs and opportunities.
- Works in collaboration with the leadership to address service improvements, allocation of resources, and strategic planning.
- Owns, addresses, and creates action plan for escalations and provides support to team and clients accordingly.
- Provides operational supervision, development, support, and guidance to the Employee Onboarding Team.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
- Demonstrated eye for process improvement.
- Effectively learning and navigating a variety of relevant systems and platforms.
- Advanced understanding of onboarding best practices.
- A minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
- Organizing, managing, and tracking multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.?
- Excellent written and oral communication.?
- Skilled in employee mentorship, coaching and development.
- Delivering clear and effective presentations.?
- Handling sensitive and confidential information.?
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in onboarding employees preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or a minimum of two (2) years in related experience preferred.
