This position is open to applicants or individuals who are located in or willing to move to AZ, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, MD, NV, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, UT.


The Role:


The Employee Engagement and Culture Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing strategies and initiatives to enhance employee engagement, foster a positive company culture, and drive employee satisfaction and productivity at Cart.com. This role plays a critical part in shaping the organization's overall employee experience and ensuring a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive work environment.


What You’ll Do:


  • Drive employee engagement feedback and survey processes, analyzing data and trends to identify insights and actionable recommendations for enhancing employee engagement and culture.
  • Design and roll out performance management programming across rganization.
  • Create and execute initiatives and programs that promote a positive work environment including the design and roll out of reward and recognition programs in partnership with leaders and people function.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement effective communication channels, tools, and processes to facilitate transparent and open communication across the organization.
  • Design and implement on boarding for various employee cohorts.
  • Collaborate with HR and leadership to develop and deliver comprehensive training and development programs to support employee growth and professional development.
  • Lead efforts to assess employee satisfaction, identify areas for improvement, and develop action plans to enhance overall employee experience.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive employee engagement strategy that aligns with the organization's goals, values, and culture.
  • Act as a champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, ensuring they are embedded within the culture and practices of the organization.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing guidance and recommendations on organizational policies, practices, and strategies to improve employee engagement and culture.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices related to employee engagement and culture, staying abreast of new methodologies, technologies, and approaches to continuously improve strategies and initiatives.


Who You Are:


  • You possess excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • You have worked at a fast-paced start-up and deadline-driven environment.
  • You have proven experience in developing and implementing innovative employee engagement and culture initiatives.
  • You have a demonstrated understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion concepts and experience integrating DEI initiatives into organizational culture.
  • You have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • You have strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate others towards a common vision and goals.
  • You have an analytical mindset with the ability to collect and interpret data to drive insights and make data-driven decisions.
  • You possess a strong knowledge of employee engagement best practices, organizational culture development, and change management principles.


What You’ve Done:


  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • 15+ years in a similar role, leading employee engagement, culture, or related initiatives within a fast-paced and dynamic organization.
