Director Of Operations (Earn Up To $175K/Yr + Bonus Structure)

Hogsalt is looking for a Full Time Director Of Operations (Earn up to $175,000/year + Bonus Structure) to join our team in New York City!

Experience & Qualifications:

• Ability to identify and solve problems.
• Professional and confident verbal and written communication with guests, employees, and ownership.
• Proven track record in building high-performance teams.
• Budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Able to inspire, motivate, and develop employees.
• 5-7 years of experience in Full-Service restaurants.
• Valid Manager Food Handler and BASSET Certification is required.
• Must have open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to ongoing changes.

Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to the following):

• Assist with FOH staffing: recruiting FOH leadership and/or FOH staff, interviewing, and supporting the onboarding process.
• Assist all restaurants with auditing training materials, submitting any updates to the Director of Training and Development.
• Schedule will be determined weekly by the Chief Operating Officer.
• Attend weekly store leadership meetings.
• In charge of scheduling and overseeing the Provisions department to ensure all NYC properties are covered.
• Possess the ability to fill into any FOH hourly or management position.
• Schedule will be determined weekly by the Chief Operating Officer.
• Hold FOH and BOH leadership accountable for cleanliness of all restaurant areas and maintaining service standards.
• Ensure the overnight cleaning crew or third party cleaning company is meeting our needs and standards at all of our NYC locations
• Assist Chief Operating Officer and VP of Service and Operations as needed.
• Be a mentor to all incoming FOH leadership and work with them through their initial training.
• Be part of the pre-opening team for all new stores and stay in operations until store leadership and staff are up and running.
• Maintain flexibility with any service-related restaurant assistance, scheduling, travel and on-call availability for an ever-changing schedule that can be modified without notice.
• Be fully trained on Paylocity Scheduler and able to assist with troubleshooting.
• Communicate issues and any pertinent situations when rotating through stores.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed, including hiring, progressive discipline, and wage increases.
• Be the point of contact person to represent Hogsalt when needed in NYC (ie: landlords, hotel management, city inspections, etc.).
• Work services in the stores 4-5 days per week unless otherwise directed.
