About the Opportunity:

The Director of Operations oversees the logistics and fulfillment operations in multiple locations and will be based in our Chelsea, NY Flagship location. The role will manage through site leadership to coach, lead, and manage the performance of leaders and individual contributors. The Director of Operations will be required to influence relationships through cross-functional leaders to drive productivity, streamline processes, and achieve business results. Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring departments comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations. Ensure safety guidelines are known and adhered to at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Effectively lead and manage operation teams across multiple sites including individual contributors and operations leaders through performance management tactics including mentorship and coaching.
• Utilizing teams, materials, and space planning to improve logistics processes and achieve business results. Troubleshoot and resolve root cause issues of performance or process challenges.
• Building and maintain effective cross-functional relationships ensuring business strategy goals are met through collaboration and communication.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strategic, forward-thinking perspective and excellent business judgment
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Prior leadership experience managing dispersed teams across multiple sites including individual contributors and operations leaders
• 8+ years of operations experience
• Nice to Have: Luxury goods
• Experience in logistics operations, receiving, inventory storage and retrieval, and order fulfillment
• Experience in automating operational procedures
• 5+ years leading cross-functional, distributed teams
• Ability to build strong cross-department relationships
• Detail-oriented and sound reasoning skills
• Ability to be onsite 5 days a week with limited flexibility and travel to operations sites up to 15% of the time

Compensation:

Our Target Hiring Range for this position is $120,000-$200,000 in our Chelsea, NY FASHIONPHILE location. Please note that this range is based on work location, experience and alignment to requirements of the role.
