Job Description

Responsibilities


This position directs and provides leadership over the Company’s Consumer sales strategy and programs. Manage and direct team initiatives in alignment with company goals. Establish and ensure best practices within scope of responsibility.

  • Develop and implement sales and marketing plans to meet overall Company objectives and generate revenue growth
  • Develops standards for qualifying new leads and requesting site surveys to determine serviceability of prospects, including submission of ROI analysis
  • Conduct feasibility and market research studies to identify opportunities for increased sales; analyze current and new product concepts in order to recommend future product development
  • Manage internal sales management, supervisor and direct sales representative organization for door-to-door, events and community engagement selling activities
  • Oversee contract terms with outside agencies, vendors and suppliers for sales related activities
  • Resellers can be selling through brick and motor stores, events, door-to-door, etc
  • Oversee reseller contracts, relationships, sales strategy, sales tactics and initiatives
  • Maintain thorough understanding of company service offerings
  • Create and implement reseller consumer (SFU and MDU) and small medium business sales programs
  • Collaborate to develop the division’s annual budget; work within approved budget; develop and implement cost saving measures
  • Review market analyses to determine needs, price schedules and discount rates
  • Collaborate with the Company’s executive, senior and middle management to develop and support its long-term strategic growth plan
  • Prepare periodic sales reports; show sales volume, potential sales and areas of proposed client base expansion
  • Develop and implement strategic sales forecasting activities and plans to accommodate the Company’s goals
  • Direct channel development activity and coordinate sales distribution; establish sales territories, quotas and goals
  • Conduct analysis and provide metrics reports and daily sales and marketing status updates to the management team
  • Achieve or exceed assign installation budget

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to hire, manage and motivate successful, solution-oriented sales teams
  • Demonstrated sales management experience (at least 5-6 years) in telecommunications sales and sales leadership experience
  • 10+ years related experience preferred, channel experience is a strong plus
  • Exceptional strategic planning, account management and contract negotiations skills required. Experience in consultative sales techniques and account planning.
  • A clear track record for consistently exceeding revenue goals. Success leading and managing large sales teams of resellers
  • Strong record in developing and assigning geographic territories and customer/prospect modules. Demonstrated leadership ability, people-management and mentoring
  • 3-5 years business/financial background
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of applicable education and experience required; MBA or related graduate degree preferred
