Director of Business Development - Freight & Logistics

Location: Florida, US

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 + Package

We're looking for a seasoned salesperson in Florida with a demonstrated track record of consistent success in the Freight Forwarding market. This is a unique opportunity to join a company that is rapidly growing and strengthening its sales force. My client will provide a comprehensive compensation package in addition to a respectable wage. This includes a 100 per cent 401(k) match, health and vision insurance, and paid vacation and sick leave.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Existing client accounts should be expanded and maintained.
• Set and achieve activity and new business key performance indicators (KPIs).
• To reclaim lost business, follow up with any lost clients.
• Provide consumers with bids and follow up as soon as possible.
• Using the CRM system, manage and develop the sales funnel.
• Manage bids for business renewals.
• Increase income by pursuing new business possibilities and/or cross-selling.
• Make arrangements to meet with important customer connections.
• New business leads should be identified and followed up on.
• Prepare and present business ideas and tenders.
• Weekly progress reports should be submitted to the Sales Support Manager.

Requirements:

• A track record of success in obtaining new business
• A communicator who is articulate and self-assured
• Exceptional business sense
• 5+ years of sales experience in the freight forwarding industry
• Motivated and determined
• Possess a solution-oriented mindset.
• Bachelor's degree or comparable experience in a business-related subject
• Outstanding organisational abilities
• Relationship manager with years of experience
• Outstanding interpersonal skills

This is a direct-hire, full-time, permanent position.
