Director of New Business Development


The Director of New Business Development will provide direction and guidance to ensure that organizational goals are met and exceeded. This role requires skills in the application of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods to provide assessments of and improvements to line or program operations and effectiveness. This role is onsite in Lakeland, Florida.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee junior sales personnel while mentoring and coaching to achieve sales.
  • Sales strategies and tactics, timeliness, and responsibilities
  • Maintain Key Customer Relationships while participating in closing strategic opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Pricing/Rates Department
  • Recruit and retain the absolute best talent to ensure sales success.
  • A minimum of 50% travel required.
  • Involve Team in forecasting process
  • Improve customer satisfaction.
  • Situational leadership ability
  • Expert leadership; lead by example
  • Conduct independent research into our client's target customer base.
  • Develop pricing mechanics that are effective and powerful.
  • Sales Forecasting
  • Reward and compensation design and implementation
  • Add market intelligence and knowledge for more accurate forecasts
  • Recruit Sales Staff.
  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual activity
  • Quantitative sales forecasting
  • Manage and lead the Sales Team.
  • Develop the annual Sales Plan.


Experience


  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Outstanding leadership and people skills.
  • 4-year degree from an accredited institution.
  • 10+ years of sales management experience.
  • Transportation sales experience a plus, but not required.
  • Polished professional with excellent business acumen.
