Job Description

CALPAKis seeking an experienced Director of Brand to join our team! In this role, you will own CALPAK branding, creative, press partnerships, and overall brand presence. This role reports directly into the CMO and manages a brand marketing team comprised of 2-4 marketing individuals and 4-6 creative team individuals.


Role Type: First 6 months in-office full time. Option to be hybrid after the initial 6 months.


Your Role:

  • Lead and maintain the brand messaging surrounding goals for current and upcoming projects, ensure brand messaging is consistent across all channels including socials, ads, and press
  • Work with in-house creative team to continually upkeep the brand’s look, feel, and messaging as it pertains to trends, brand guidelines, and diverse audiences
  • Work with Creative in the production of performance creative that converts (Paid Social, Influencer, and Email creative experience a HUGE plus!)
  • Define market audience and positioning, optimize ways to communicate with those segments and dig-in those demographics via audience analysis. Help to mine new audiences for acquisition
  • Attend on set video and photo shoots at times to police brand guidelines and ensure successful shoot
  • Creatively ideate exciting and innovative initiatives for unique brand storytelling through PR and additional touchpoints to increase awareness
  • Work with marketing team members to grow brand awareness, brand engagement, and brand following
  • Leverage market knowledge and data to identify new partner opportunities, be it large brands or relevant influencers
  • Work with Creative and Brand team to develop annual and seasonal advertising campaigns designed to build brand awareness and attract new customers
  • Lead the charge in all top funnel and creative KPIs including thumb-stop, click-through, reach and impressions. Report on and improve upon these metrics in cross-channel collaboration
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to communicate and carry out strategic plans with Performance and Retention efforts
  • Develop go-to-market documents, briefs, communication plans for new products and to stay top of mind for current ones
  • Oversee strategic junior staff members through delegation of tasks and mentorship - ensure that brand strategy and KPIs are executed to success
  • Ideate and lead a vision for developing brand strategy in CALPAK advertising, press, influencer, partnerships, experiential and social media highlighting our unique capabilities within the marketing space and value props as it pertains to diverse customer groups
  • Lead and build brand and campaign calendar to hit overall brand revenue and awareness goals
  • Grow the social brand marketing team and stay on top of branding opportunities as new platforms, trends, and partnerships emerge


You are:

  • Must be able to commute to office in Gardena, California
  • Experience in reporting on brand awareness and top-funnel analytics
  • Experience with creative strategy and brand presence
  • 7+ years supervisory role experience
  • A keen eye for advertising creative
