About Gently


Gently is a hypergrowth logistics technology start-up with significant pre-seed funding, led by a team of successful serial entrepreneurs in the space building their most ambitious project yet.


Gently enables ALL retailers to provide delivery services that meet the expectations of modern consumers. Retail is stuck with legacy logistics infrastructure and partners that were never built for modern consumer habits. Gently changes this by turning delivery into a value add for retailers and customers alike. Consumers unlock lightning-fast deliveries from their favorite retailers without compromising on customer service; retail brands leverage a new channel with customers, increasing retention and revenue.


Tasks


  • Build a deep understanding of the target merchant and consumer, and leverage this knowledge as a foundation for all brand development.
  • Ensure consistency between Gently's messaging and experience across Gently's product and marketing.
  • Identify actionable opportunities founded in data for campaigns and innovation, and execute relentlessly to bring this vision to life.
  • Identify, engage, and manage both internal and external creative talent that is required to bring Gently's brand to life.
  • Conceptualize, build and constantly improve the UX/UI of Gently's products for both B2B (Brands and Retailers) and B2C (consumers).
  • Transforming the commoditized concept of "delivery" into an unforgettable experience, which is truly magical for both consumers and merchants.
  • Oversee all external and internal stakeholders to include creatives (designers, copywriters, art directors, etc.) and Agencies (PR, Marketing, etc.).
  • Bringing the Gently brand to life across all physical and digital touch points with the magic of creative design.
  • Define Gently's messaging either yourself or in collaboration with other subject matter experts (designers, PR agencies, etc.) and broadcast this vision across all touchpoints.


Requirements


  • Ability to work onsite from Gently's HQs in Santa Monica, California every day.
  • Thrives in a scrappy startup environment, with the ability to maintain a budget.
  • Willingness to work in the trenches of startup life, and get your hands dirty with the mentality that no job is too small and no opportunity is too big for you to take on.
  • 7-15 years experience in a top-tier industrial design consultancy, creative or advertising agency, or brand/marketing role at a leading B2B2C technology company. Startup experience at high growth venture is required.
  • Exposure to go-to-market strategies and commercialization processes, with an understanding of its impact to the business.
  • Ability to work independently, comfort with navigating ambiguity, and energized by working in a fast-paced environment
  • A pulse on trends, cultural/global conversations and social landscape, with proven success in activating on behalf of a global brand.
