Work Schedule: 40 hours/week, M-F and hours based on customer support needs

Position Overview
Data Analytics Engineers at Tatango own the entire data stack which power both internal and customer facing reporting. This includes developing, testing and deploying models that power our internal BI tools and customer facing products.
This individual will bring an engineering based mindset to our data team with a focus on writing code, developing documentation, implementing best practices and communicating cross functionally with the rest of the organization.
What You’ll Do:
- Work with the rest of our Platform team to re-evaluate the future of our ETL system(s)
- Identify and resolve impediments to efficiency and enable faster iteration of data initiatives
- Maintain our data warehouse with timely and accurate data
- Work with our Product Team closely to define product KPI’s and understand our customers needs
- Apply software best practices to analytics code base and repo (version control, testing, continuous integration)
- You will be responsible for Business Intelligence (BI) at Tatango, visualizing data using enterprise level BI tools for both internal and external use
- Continuously review data modeling principles and accuracy to initiate improvements
- Partner cross functionally to analyze and determine the “why” behind our data
- Define KPIs and support dashboards and democratize these throughout the rest of the organization
- Maintain monitoring and alerting on our relational databases
- Own the creation of reusable data assets through DBT and SQL
- Monitor the integrity of our data warehouse and transactional databases
What You’ll Bring:
- Fearlessness when taking on new challenges or technology
- Ownership over responsibilities and proactiveness about those duties. Also demonstrates high work ethic and commitment to individual and team excellence
- Knowledge of complex ETL or ELT systems that make use of database technologies such as ElasticSearch, Redis, Postgres, MySQL and DynamoDB
- Strong cloud experience with AWS Services such as Compute and Storage
- 4+ years of experience as a Data Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer/Analyst or equivalent
- Command of Agile and Scrum processes
- Familiarity with Python, Javascript or Typescript
- Takes and gives feedback in a professional and constructive manner
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and presentation skills
- Mastery of DBT and other Data Warehouse technologies (Redshift, Snowflake)
- Experience with enterprise level visualization tools like Tableau, Looker and Sisense
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Extra Credit:
- Strong understanding of one of the following programming languages (SQL, JavaScript, Typescript)
