HMV- Properties, a hotel company based in Charlotte NC is now hiring an: -
“Corporate Administrative Assistant”, to join our great team! This is a full-time office position assisting with Operations, Human Resources, and some computer accounting functions at their Corporate Office.
Job Summary
Responsible for providing administrative support to the Executive Team. Duties will include assisting with administrative functions relating to Hotel Operations, Human Resources and assisting with miscellaneous accounting functions as needed. Performs other administrative duties as assigned.
PRE-REQUISITES
Associates in positions with administrative duties must maintain and protect the confidentiality of all company and associate information. Tact and discretion must be used in all dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
Must be able to perform major life activities: Standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating.
Assists the Executive Team with the daily responsibilities of hotel(s) business, which include, but are not limited to:

- College degree (BS/BA) preferred.
- Must be computer literate and able to use other office equipment including scanner, and photocopier.
- Previous administrative or operations experience in a hotel preferred.
- Administration: 4 years (Preferred)
Must be able to perform major life activities: Standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating.
- Must possess the ability to engage clients and coworkers.
- Must possess a professional and “can do” attitude at all times and interact positively with team and visitors.
- Must possess strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, perform multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to speak and read English, the ability to communicate in another language may be helpful.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Must possess the ability to inspire confidence in and gain respect from superiors, & peers.
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal.
- Must be able to lift and carry 20 pounds, push/pull 30 pounds, sit.
- Excellent skill set utilizing Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other hotel administrative controlling software.
- Must display professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness always.
Assists the Executive Team with the daily responsibilities of hotel(s) business, which include, but are not limited to:
- Attends in-house meetings and participates in conference calls as directed by the Executive Team.
- Maintain all office files required for each property.
- Create New Hire files and assist with the processing of New Hire paperwork.
- Other clerical/accounting duties as assigned.
- Assist with new hire General Managers Orientations as needed.
- Assist with general purchasing duties to include office supplies, for corporate office and other areas as assigned.
- Facilitate communications over the phone, via email and in person as required.
- Prepare reports and other correspondence as required for senior team members.
- Maintain safety and security practices, have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
- Brief/update the Executive Team as needed on upcoming events and deadlines relevant to the operations of the hotels.
- Report on maintenance issues related to functions and equipment at the corporate office.
