Overview:

We are in need of an Administrative Assistant/ File Clerk to assist our legal team in our Fort Lauderdale office. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the maintenance and organization of files and will assist with other various administrative office tasks. Applicants should have at least 2 years of experience as an Administrative Asst. in a professional office setting. Prior law firm experience a plus. Is this the opportunity for you? Your File Clerk Duties and Responsibilities:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Responsible for the organization of both physical and electronic files.
  • Locate information from files and create new entries/sub files and close files as needed.
  • Keep records of materials filed or removed, utilizing systems, including firm document management system.
  • Maintain, organize, and index all case files for attorneys.
  • Perform general office duties such as administrative assistant tasks, including but not limited to typing, scanning and operating office machines.
  • File correspondence, pleadings and other documentation in an accurate and timely manner
  • Maintain organization of files in storage rooms.
  • Performs related job duties as required.
