Job Description
Clinical Coordinator Job description Summary: Under limited supervision, the Dental Practice Manager / Clinical Practice Manager oversees the daily operations of the mobile dental office/team by ensuring compliance with company policies, managing employee and patient/advocate relations, and achieving operational goals. Clinical Coordinator Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • While performing the duties of the position, the employ is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to type on keyboard, reach with hands and arms and life and or move up to 45 pounds. Work Environment:
  • Ability to assist the team while onsite if necessary (retrieving patients from their rooms, assisting with x-rays, etc.).
  • Coordinate any vehicle maintenance requirements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Five years dental experience (front office, dental assistant, etc.).
  • Professionalism : Approaches others in a tactful manner; reacts well under pressure; treats others with respect and consideration.
  • Maintain local headquarters tasks with corporate headquarters and triage any issues that arise with the local facility.
  • Directly supervises dental office employees and independent contractors. Caries our supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; scheduling doctors, planning, and assigning and directing work; appraising performance, disciplining employees; conducting meetings; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
  • Update and monitor provider availability calendar; ensure team is communicate with for any staff changes. Coordinate teams "shadow" visits with regional Manager and Human Resources.
  • Safety and Security : Observes and enforces safety and security procedures; reports and corrects potentially unsafe or hazardous conditions; ensures compliance of company policies and procedures. Qualifications: To perform the job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Computer Skills : An individual should have intermediate knowledge of dental practice management software and Microsoft office and internet software. Education and or Experience:
  • Communicate extensively with regional manager, doctor, hygienist, and assistants to ensure everyone is prepared for the day including but not limited to supplies, equipment, lab cases that have arrived and facility nuances.
  • Reasoning Ability : Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where high level of standardization exists; interpret instructions furnished in written or oral form.
  • Teamwork : Balances team and individual responsibilities; exhibits objectivity; welcomes feedback; contributes to building a positive team spirit; puts success of team above own interests; able to build morale and attain group commitments and goals.
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical dental instruments, fumes, dust, or airborne particles chemicals used for dentistry and bloodborne pathogens.   • Other duties as assigned. Dental Practice Manager Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Responsible to communicate with patient and or advocates on diagnosed treatment; schedule as appropriate and answer any questions and or concerns during and after treatment.
  • Interpersonal skills : Focuses on solving conflict; maintains confidentiality; listens to others without interrupting; keeps emotions under control; remains open to others' ideas.
  • Coordinate all medical clearances with patient and or advocate with their physician prior to treatment - obtain any missing documents.
  • Responsible for teams' compliance tasks.
  • Ensure market's daily schedules are created, efficient and productive to meet client and companies' daily goals. Ensure that all medical administration records are obtained from the facility and scanned into practice management software.
  • Customer Service : Manage difficult situations; responds promptly to needs of patients and advocates; solicits feedback to improve service; responds to requests for assistance; meets commitments.
  • Ethics / Diversity : Shows respect and sensitivity for cultural differences; educates others on the value of diversity; treats people with respect; keeps commitments and inspires the trust of others.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply basic math skills; work with concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations; effectively calculate figures such as discounts, etc.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents including but not limited to compliance and safety documents; policy and training manuals, routine reports, and correspondence; speak effectively and present information to individuals in the organization.
  • Ensure all appointments have been confirmed - preferably 2 days prior to teams visit.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology. Physical Demands:
  • Responsible to monitor team's payroll; work with regional manager with staffing and PTO approvals.
  • Must be able to lift objects up to 45 pounds; assist team with loading and unloading of vehicle if applicable.
  • Must be comfortable traveling between client facilities with corporate vehicle ("clean" driving record required).
  • Associate and or bachelor's degree a plus related in the healthcare field.
  • Managing People : Staff planning, decision making and process improvement; takes responsibility for team's activities; makes oneself available to staff; develops teams' skills and encourages growth.
  • Monitor teledentistry exams; ensure timely diagnosis and treatment plan by the dentist.
