Ops Acupuncturist Jobs

The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is seeking an Acupuncturist to join our rapidly growing PM&R integrative medicine program at the University of Florida.

Job Duties Include:

• Participate in program educational and research activities
• Maintain detailed and complete records of health care plans, treatment, prognosis and utilize the electronic medical records for all patient records
• Comply with standard institutional policies and procedures related to clinical practice and to personnel regulations
• Refer to other clinic providers
• Develop relationships with targeted providers and provider groups
• Employ acupuncture diagnosis and treatment and adjunctive therapies for the promotion, maintenance and restoration of health (adapted from Florida Board of Acupuncture)
• Monitor patient progress with treatment

Work Hours

1 full clinic per week (8 hours)

$30 hourly

NCCAOM certificate, Florida acupuncture license

Documentation of no disciplinary action

Experience and knowledge:

Acupuncture and Chinese medicine principles, treatment and procedures

Minimum of five years independent practice

Special Skills:

• EMR Utilization
• Clear understanding and ability to articulate scientific evidence supporting acupuncture
• Interpersonal and communication Skills
• Customer Service

Education

Masters level education in accredited program in Acupuncture and/or Science of Oriental Medicine
