Surgery Scheduling Specialist

Fast-paced, high-volume clinic looking for a top skilled Surgery Scheduler

Work location: 3920 West Wheatland – Suite 134 Dallas, Texas 75237

Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly; Monday thru Friday, (8:00am – 5:00pm)

• High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)

• Two years or related experience in a healthcare environment (PREFERRED)

• Six months of Orthopedic Surgery Scheduling experience (STRONGLY PREFERRED)

What You Will Do

• Schedule all inpatient and outpatient surgery and medical procedures, tests and studies ordered by the physician

• Conduct physician pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care

• Ensure all required tests needed prior to surgery are done

• Coordinate and ensure necessary equipment is ordered, room availability/scheduled, pre-surgery medication, etc., is arranged prior to scheduled procedure

• Schedule any necessary follow-up appointments, communicates and answers patients’ questions regarding surgery preparation instructions, arrival/departure instructions relative to procedure
