Chief Technology Officer / Co-Founder

Early-stage company looking for a leader to get in on the ground floor with a market potential in tens of billions of dollars. Capital committed with launch of proof-of-concept, in which CTO will play a leading role.
Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our startup as a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Co-founder. Someone who is highly devoted to the success and growth of company while putting in co-founder level time and effort.As a CTO, you will play a critical role in leading the technological development and innovation within our company. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our technical operations, managing a team of developers, and driving the successful launch of our product. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic startup, contribute to its growth, and earn an even-split percentage of founder equity with current Founder and CEO.
Responsibilities:1. Technical Strategy and Leadership:Develop and implement the overall technology strategy aligned with the company's business goals.Drive innovation and identify opportunities to leverage technology for competitive advantage.Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring the successful execution of projects.Ensure that systems are optimized for performance and maintainability, and that they adhere to industry best practices and standards.2. Team Management:Hire, mentor, and manage a team of skilled developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.Set clear objectives and performance expectations for the team and provide regular feedback and coaching.Foster a continuous learning environment, promoting skill development and career growth.3. Product Development and Launch:Work hand-in-hand with CEO, who will set vision and direction of company, to develop roadmap in line with business needs.Lead the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery within budget and high-quality results.Implement efficient development methodologies and best practices to accelerate product delivery.4. Technical Architecture and Full-Stack Development:Design and oversee the development of scalable, robust, reliable, and secure software solutions.Act as a hands-on full-stack developer when needed, contributing to coding and technical tasks.Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential applicability to the company's needs.
Required Qualifications:Minimum 5+ years of software development experience with minimum 2 years of experience at notable firm or commensurate experience launching products.Proven track record of successfully leading and managing technical teams.Demonstrated experience as a full-stack developer, proficient in both front-end and back-end technologies.Experience launching and delivering innovative products to market.Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.Deep understanding of web and app development.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make strategic decisions under pressure.Fluent in English with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.Entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for building and growing businesses.Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a desire to work hard to launch a product to solve a large human problem.Strong business acumen and the ability to align technical decisions with strategic objectives.Must be a legally authorized to work in the USPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.Previous startup experience, ideally as a co-founder or early employee.Familiarity with agile development methodologies and rapid prototyping.Experience with data analytics, machine learning, or artificial intelligence technologies.
This is a full-time position based in New York City; transition to remote possible after 6 months based on milestones reached. As a Co-founder, you will be entitled to a significant equity stake in the company, providing you with a unique opportunity to share in the success and growth of the venture.

Compensation (NYC): $70,000-150,000 (FT) depending on experience and capital raises milestones. Up to 50% Founder’s equity.
