Job Description
A nonprofit organization in New York City is actively seeking an experienced and hardworking professional to join their staff as their new Chief Information Officer (CIO). In this role, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) will act as a member of the leadership team that delivers Fiscal, Facilities, and IT infrastructure and services across the organization.


Responsibilities


The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will be responsible for:


  • Strengthening performance and reliability of core IT infrastructure and user support
  • Meeting with senior business unit managers to determine requirements and recommend potential improvements through IT business solutions
  • Leading project implementation of agreed upon solutions and new systems, providing input on acquiring new technology where appropriate
  • Providing leadership that will drive innovation, creative thinking, and business partnership
  • Providing thought leadership and subject matter expertise on all technology platforms, including both program services and administrative/support operations
  • Preparing a strategic IT business plan in alignment with mission and objectives at both organization-wide and business unit-specific levels
  • Refining current IT strategy and objectives
  • Improving access and security protocols
Qualifications


  • Demonstrated legacy and emerging technology experience
  • Demonstrated capability to plan, manage, and control multiple priorities and projects
  • Strong interpersonal / partnership skills
  • Hands-on experience with IT systems conversions within a large and complex organization
  • Proven communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal)
  • 10+ years of progressive responsibility in IT management, including both basic IT infrastructure and user support and delivery of business solutions
  • Expertise in industry standard methods and practices in the areas of network architecture design and administration, user security, and access control at the network and application level, and business solution delivery, including system development life cycle (SDLC) protocols
