The Chief People Officer will provide strategic leadership for the Human Resources organization including Talent Management, Organization Effectiveness, Employee Relations, Workplace Policies/Practices, Compensation & Benefits, HRIS, and Employee Communications. As a thought leader and member of the senior management team for Provenir, this CHRO will lead a team of 10 professionals with over 300 employees globally. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned HR leader with significant Generalist experience in a high-growth, progressive organization. The ideal CHRO candidate will have a strategic mindset with solid cultural change and coaching skills.

The role is remote with travel to our Parsippany office.

Key areas of focus:


  • Enhance strategy around investigations, resolving grievances and employee relations matters
  • Design a rewards strategy with competitive compensation packages and bonus programs to align with the organizational goals of the business globally
  • Enrich our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion program
  • Develop and implement organizational practices that maximize employee performance for various departments and levels in a rapidly changing organization
  • Apply effective change-management principles, including leadership and management of change programs/methodologies needed to drive large-scale change processes
  • Own initiatives focused on continued improvement of organizational culture and employee engagement
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and compliance to align with our global footprint


People, Policies & Culture


  • Design/implement/maintain people and culture strategy
  • Devise/implement proactive recruitment strategy
  • Research/develop/communicate/update policies, procedures, guidelines
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends & best practices, remain current on HR legislation
  • Enhance employee lifecycle experience including; onboarding and off-boarding


Performance management, development & learning


  • Identify & support opportunities for professional development and growth across the business
  • Mentor managers and guide managers through employee development opportunities
  • Solicit input, collect, analyze, share metrics regarding organizational culture, employee satisfaction
  • Develop and direct performance management strategy, expectations, feedback, evaluations
  • Identify/coordinate ongoing training for staff members, monitor success of training programs


Benefits, Systems and Operations


  • Oversee all Global Benefit plans and programs including; negotiating benefits contracts, overseeing open enrollment and optimize employee benefits plans and programs
  • Manage HR team in execution of day-to-day functions including; reviewing, updating, enforcing workplace policies and procedures and HR audits


Education & Experience Requirements:


  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred
  • Experience with end-to-end management and reporting of employee data and ensuring data integrity across HRIS systems and spreadsheets
  • At least 15+ years of Human Resources leadership experience required, 5+ years of global experience with strategic, talent management, compensation benefits/wellness and HR Operations experience
  • Experience implementing ATS, HRIS, payroll systems
  • Strong understanding of external marketplace and dynamics influencing business; stays abreast of trends and changes in the regulatory environment.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and change management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required, Master’s preferred.
