Meet is currently partnering with an exciting, Rare Disease Biotech to add to their Patient Advocacy team. They are looking for a Associate Director or Director of Patient Advocacy to help build the awareness around the important of their products within their patient base.
This position reports to the Vice President of Patient Advocacy.
Responsibilities
- Gather and champion patient insights by conducting virtual and in-person patient advisory boards to inform key cross-functional initiatives and proactively share ongoing insights from patient advocacy group engagements.
- Coordinate and plan their presence at key patient meetings and participation in awareness days/months (e.g., sponsorships, materials, booth presence, employee engagement activities, etc.).
- Develop and execute innovative patient-facing educational resources and initiatives aimed at increasing awareness of their clinical programs, disease education, decreasing time to diagnosis, and increasing access to comprehensive care.
- Act as a representative at key patient advocacy meetings and events to increase awareness of our clinical programs and to listen and learn from the patient community and global experts
- Oversee vendors for patient advocacy and engagement initiatives (e.g., patient webinars, patient videos, educational resources, digital initiatives, etc.) including management of budget, timelines, and deliverables.
- Lead their external patient and community engagement strategy through the identification, negotiation, and execution of mutually beneficial opportunities for strategic partnerships with relevant Patient Advocacy.
Qualifications
- Associate Director: 5-7 years, Director: 8+ years in patient advocacy, patient engagement, patient marketing or related experience in the pharmaceutical industry required.; level commensurate with experience.
- Knowledge of current regulatory requirements and guidelines governing external communications to patients, patient advocacy groups, and healthcare providers.
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Experience developing and executing patient-facing disease education and awareness resources and initiatives; patient digital health initiatives and campaigns a plus (e.g., virtual booths, webinars, podcasts, social media platforms, CRM, paid search/SEO, etc.).
- Ability to travel to key congresses and patient events, as needed (Up to 25%).
- Experience in rare diseases and oncology preferred.
