The Engagement Director, Operations leads a single engagement or large workstream and strategically and tactically owns it from start to finish including a key leadership role during the Analysis and in accountable for engagement outcomes. This position leads, coaches and mentors the engagement team day-to-day to successfully deliver measurable benefits against aggressive targets in a fast-paced environment, ensure timely completion of tasks, and deliver the associated engagement initiatives on time and on budget while ensuring Total Client Satisfaction The Director is responsible for engaging the C-Suite of the client in business discussions to ensure full understanding of the client’s business drivers and adapting the Maine Pointe approach to the specific industry needs and cultural requirements and working with the Managing Directors and Senior Managing Director to identify and secure more work opportunities.


You will:


Client


  • In collaboration with the Managing Directors, ensure top three success criteria of the Sponsor / Decision Maker is agreed and signed off at the Decision Brief during the Analysis. Then tracked throughout the engagement to delivery Total Client Satisfaction (TCS).
  • Develop intimate knowledge of client financial performance and business needs to ensure alignment.
  • Manage client day to day ensuring engagement constraints are promptly identified and dealt with.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with the client C-Suite that drive more work and TVO journeys.
  • Elicit client testimonials, referrals and references at end of engagement.
  • Build trusted, productive working relationship with client executive(s) to ensure ongoing alignment, effective communication, timely execution of tasks and deliverables, on-time payment of scheduled invoices, savings sign offs, and end of engagement letter of recommendation and client reference.
  • Ensure client engagement, support and alignment with the engagement goals and deliverables.


Internal
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing clients and multi-task multiple projects.
  • Support development of savings assumptions, define methodology and associated engagement cash flow supported by study data, and create a compelling financial “proof of claim”.
  • Support business development discussions and proposal development
  • Identify “More Work” opportunities and work with Managing Director to sell and deliver on these opportunities.
  • Ability to develop, sustain and proactively manage value-added client relationships.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven initiative, drive and focus on details.
  • Work with key client leaders to build alignment and support for tailored TVO Journey.
  • Ensure day to day leadership, direction and closely manage the assigned engagement or workstream team to deliver against plans on time and on budget through clear goal/expectations setting, communication, management of Maine Pointe process, and team training, mentoring and coaching that creates high performance.
  • Ensure execution of Maine Pointe engagement processes (examples include detailed work plan, 8-week launch, engagement governance, structured internal and client reviews, etc.) in accordance with MP methodology (Engagement Manual) appropriately tailored for client/industry.
  • Ability to solve complex business issues.
  • Demonstrated negotiation, change management and influence skills.
  • Manage delivery of engagements within assigned budgets through: identifying team requirements, interviewing and selecting suitably skilled candidates, team assignments, follow up, onboarding, and offboarding of team members to meet engagement deadlines.
  • Lead client engagement teams or major workstream, (in collaboration with Managing Directors), to deliver EBITDA, cash and revenue improvements at or above mid-point benefit range, on-time, on-budget while ensuring total client satisfaction.
  • Manage the team to produce studies (quantitative & qualitative) in accordance with the “Study Plan” that accurately quantifies areas and magnitude of opportunities and ensure development of key outputs and studies to support key meetings (Interim Review, Decision Brief, Final Presentation).
  • Collaborate with the Analysis Director during the Analysis Phase to:

You have...


  • Bachelor’s degree in management, supply chain, engineering, logistics, operations management, business or relevant field.
  • Strong financial & business acumen.
  • 5 years+ in Operations/Manufacturing and/or plant management
  • Lean/Six Sigma, PMP or APICS certification a plus A clear understanding of business, business functions, and an ability to adapt to different business cultures for success
  • Proven success leading change within strictly managed budgets and timelines with trackable financial results. Prior work experience in an implementation consulting firm preferred.
