Mgr Patient Advocacy Jobs

Be the key relationship manager for patient advocacy groups; lead and facilitate regular communications to advance mutually beneficial priorities

Minimum of 8 years of relevant patient advocacy, communications, commercial, or related experience in the biopharmaceutical industry

Experience leading patient advocacy engagement activities for pre-commercial investigational medicines

Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels

Prior experience engaging with patient communities in the Hematology therapeutic area/gene therapy

Analyze the external stakeholder landscape to identify and prioritize potential partner organizations and individuals

·Competence in basic office management, record keeping, and computer skills.

·Experience providing empowerment-based models of support including harm reduction and trauma-informed care.

·Knowledge of local community service agencies.

The duties of this position include and are not limited to the following:

·Interact with all survivors utilizing trauma-informed care and harm reduction models of services.

Management experience for 1-2 direct reports.

Keep senior account management team members informed/know when to pull them in and prepare them for discussions internally and externally.

Develop education that drive patient action; understanding of adult learning principles and health literacy.

Experience in Veeva and/ or Ziflow platforms are a plus.

Establish and maintain strong working relationships within the agency, with agency partners, and with client counterparts.

Provide training and mentorship to the junior account team.

Provide research, writing and project management support on special projects and initiatives as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in related Life Sciences or health communication discipline. Equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience may be considered.

Well organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage shifting responsibilities in a dynamic, cross-functional teamwork environment.

Draft educational materials for patients.

Strong professional experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical industry or patient advocacy organization.

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Strong project management and prioritization skills to effectively manage and drive multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge of Regulatory and Compliance requirements and guidelines

Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage multiple responsibilities

Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience (life science, advocacy, clinical, social work)

Minimum of 5 years of Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry experience (rare disease and pharma start-up experience preferred)

Possess ability to lead and influence without authority and exhibit excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

Five (5) years of work experience working with non-profit organizations, or other relationship-management expertise.

Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.

Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence without authority, including demonstrated experience gaining senior-leader perspectives and support.

Manage a portfolio of patient advocacy partnerships and programs spanning relevant products and positioning company as a leader in cancer.

Leverage third party advocacy partnerships to support patient education and engagement for assigned precision oncology products.

Maintain strong understanding and extensive knowledge of key Issues, including relevant public policy, caregiver burden, disease awareness, and barriers to access.

Lead efforts to raise awareness of myeloma and advocate for increased funding for research, education, and patient support programs.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with a passion for relationship building and engaging with external audiences.

Strong presentation skills; able to effectively communicate concepts and ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.

· Strong computer skills, including, but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.

Serve as the voice of myeloma patients in global policy discussions and advocate for policies that prioritize patient needs.

Work closely with other team members, secure funding, grants, and sponsorships to support patient engagement and advocacy initiatives.

Demonstrates knowledge and experience of creating and working user acceptance testing (UAT) scenarios within an electronic application.

Works closely and in conjunction with manager and SOS staff and OCM staff with any aspect of the programs.

Assists Manager in the Provides identification and coordination of necessary training needs for new employees and new clients/accounts.

Supports new client implementations as assigned by manager.

Knowledge of current regulatory requirements and guidelines governing patient advocacy as it relates to clinical research

10+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry or non-profit advocacy organization

Significant experience in Oncology patient advocacy required

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and successfully manage multiple projects

Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to lead and influence without authority

The activities of the Patient Engagement and Advocacy Manager include, but are not limited to:

Communicates directly with patients and subject recruitment vendors to support subject screening and enrollment in clinical trials.

Work with Clinilabs sales team, operations staff, and legal department to solidify relationships with referring physicians and organizations.

Assist in the development of materials and digital assets that will support subject screening and enrollment in clinical trials.

Travel to professional conferences, patient support group meetings, customer meetings, and other meetings as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, healthcare management or other related field.

Equivalent experience of 5 years in revenue cycle or medical office experience which includes 1 year in a leadership type position

One year experience in a team lead, performance improvement, or leadership position.

Three years experience in an office clerical setting or customer service environment.

One year direct experience in a healthcare revenue cycle or medical setting.

Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Contribute to the Global Rare Disease patient advocacy strategy, reflecting Amryt's commitment to the patient community

Represent the patient perspective during planning strategy meetings and contribute to the successful implementation and achievement of goals

Work with external patient organizations to compliantly encourage their growth and development into high-functioning and sustainable organizations

Knowledge of current regulatory requirements and guidelines governing external communications to patients, patient advocacy groups, and healthcare providers.

Experience in rare diseases and oncology preferred.

Ability to travel to key congresses and patient events, as needed (Up to 25%).

This position reports to the Vice President of Patient Advocacy.
