Experience advancing equity within government systems, especially through issue campaigns surrounding education and other social issues

3+ years experience managing complex and cross-functional projects and/or teams

Experience interfacing with elected officials and navigating political systems at the local, state, and/or federal levels

Ability to work on and manage multiple projects at any given time and pivot among priorities

Provide direction for ongoing campaign development through campaign strategy development, tactical scenarios and plans, coordinating campaign activities, and organizing campaign actions

Develop inclusive processes to center community leaders, Partnership staff and allies, and other stakeholders in campaign development and implementation

Knowledge of current regulatory requirements and guidelines governing patient advocacy as it relates to clinical research

10+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry or non-profit advocacy organization

Significant experience in Oncology patient advocacy required

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and successfully manage multiple projects

Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to lead and influence without authority

Provide general program support related to advocacy and communications for Sesame Workshop’s humanitarian programs, including reporting and knowledge management.

Strong project-manager and multi-tasker with excellent organizational skills and close attention to detail.

Coordinate roles and logistics with event organizers and venues; provide briefing memos for senior executives; and manage relevant contracts.

Experience with preparing and managing high-level speaking engagements and events

Relationship builder with strong people skills, interested in building and sustaining partnerships with Sesame and across our partnerships.

Expert in PowerPoint; strong overall computer skills.

7-10 years of experience with external communications; biotech/pharmaceutical product public relations background a plus

BA/BS degree in relevant field, with 5-7 years communications experience, preferably with a pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare organization

· Extensive federal court experience

· Develop and maintain aggressive impact litigation and advocacy docket, which advances NLS’ strategic priorities;

Knowledge of current regulatory requirements and guidelines governing external communications to patients, patient advocacy groups, and healthcare providers.

Experience in rare diseases and oncology preferred.

Ability to travel to key congresses and patient events, as needed (Up to 25%).

This position reports to the Vice President of Patient Advocacy.

Can effectively tell the story of the benefits and value of student participation and engagement in UREC programs and services.

Master’s degree in recreation/leisure programs, higher education administration, public administration or related field from an accredited institution of higher education

Experience working as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team

User experience (UX), design-thinking, or other program/organizational development and innovation expertise
