Job Description

Health Policy Advocacy Internship

If you are a graduate student or a recent graduate who is passionate about improving health policy through communications and advocacy, the Pyxis Partners Internship Program offers a unique opportunity for professional growth and learning.Pyxis Partnersfocuses on health policy issues of national importance, such as prescription drug pricing, and women’s reproductive rights.The firm also specializes in hands-on work dedicated to increasing diversity in biomedical research.Our interns are enthusiastic, innovative and strategic thinkers with excellent verbal and written communications skills. Interns are team players and have a strong commitment to our clients.


The Pyxis Partners Internship Program affords young professionals the opportunity togain firsthand experience working on a variety of projects designed to communicate and advocate for specific policies in health and healthcare reform, join Pyxis Partners’ political consultants as they lobby on Capitol Hill, and experience how the academic study of policy and advocacy work translates into real-life projects and initiatives.


Qualifications:

●Must be currently enrolled in a graduate program or recently graduated

●Able to work in a fast paced environment, problem solve, and prioritize competing requests

●Attentive to detail and committed to delivering high-quality work products

●Able to work independently and possesses strong organizational skills

●Able to collaborate and work with a diverse team

●Ability to translate and broadly communicate complex research, policy and legislation topics for a variety of audiences. Experience on Capitol Hill is a plus, but not required


Anticipated Start Date:August 28, 2023

Applying

This is a part-time position, 20-25 hrs per week, and the hourly rate is $17. We are open to providing academic credit for this position where applicable so please let us know in your cover letter if this is an option for you. This is a remote position, but interns are welcomed and encouraged to work from our D.C. office.
