Activation Planning Manager, Sun & Makeup

This position will report into the Sun & Makeup Category Lead, based in Los Angeles, CA.

What You Will Do


Key Responsibilities-


  • Collaborate closely with shopper marketing and customer strategy teams, understanding key customer moments and shopper support plans, both influencing overall brand 360 activation calendar and influencing customer activation plans ensuring they align with the overall brand activation strategy.
  • Demonstrate a results-oriented approach by regularly tracking and reporting on the performance of activation initiatives, providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Apply an owner mindset to take personal responsibility for the performance of activation plans, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing data, and making data-driven decisions to optimize and maximize results.
  • Foster strong cross-functional collaboration and communication with internal stakeholders, external partners, agencies, and vendors to ensure seamless execution and delivery of activation plans.
  • Embrace a daring spirit by actively seeking out opportunities to experiment with innovative activation approaches, embracing learnings from both successful and unsuccessful initiatives to continuously improve and drive growth.
  • Drive connection across the overarching communications team on internal (including Megabrand) and external media and communication partners to drive synergy, consistency, and amplification of messages across all channels
  • Use an outside-in focus to stay out in the market, proactively engaging with consumers, customers, and vendors to understand their needs, preferences, and behaviors, and translating these insights into effective activation strategies.
  • Play a key role planning media activation calendar, partnering with media teams to identify strategic media channels, optimize media strategies, and ensure delivery of Neutrogena’s media-driven financial targets.
  • Collaborate with the Neutrogena Megabrand team on tentpole moments to ensure alignment and integration of activation plans, leveraging cross-functional expertise and resources to maximize the impact of these high-profile brand moments.
  • Enable adaptation of existing creative and connect the dots with Cx and Strategy team on broader ecosystem content (e.g., digital shelf, website, organics social)
  • Take personal accountability for the successful execution of activation plans, driving collective success by coordinating and aligning efforts as single point of contact across brand marketing, media teams, customer teams, shopper marketing teams, and the Neutrogena Megabrand team inclusive of PR and influencer.
  • Build, own, and update an end-to-end 360 activation calendar, coordinating with cross-functional teams to align regularly updating and refining it based on market insights, business objectives, and key brand and customer milestones.
  • Interface with PR and Influencer manager to activate influencer efforts for Neutrogena


Required Qualifications


  • High level of inner motivation & proactive approach
  • Fast learner and good team player,
  • A BA/BS in Marketing or a related business field is required. MBA is preferred.
  • Self-organization, experience in project management,
  • Candidates must demonstrate strong communication, strategic thinking and presentation skills
  • Digital knowledge
  • A minimum of 5 years of marketing experience is required.


Desired Qualifications


  • Experience in customer strategy or shopper marketing preferred
  • Marketing experience in Consumer Packaged Goods is preferred
