Job Summary
Opportunity: The Trinchero Family Estates (TFE) Brand Marketing Team is seeking a passionate Brand Manager to join our Team.
The Role: Both creative and analytical, this role is a brand marketer’s dream, leading the charge on exciting brands such as our fast-growing SEAGLASS brand (Impact Hot Brand award winner 4 of the past 5 years), our iconic Napa Cellars brand, and several smaller luxury brands. The role will report into the Brand Marketing Director. To succeed in this role, you must be able to ideate and execute big creative ideas and measure their success. You will be the true business owner, monitoring sales, budgets, and P&Ls of your brands. You must also be able to work well with cross-functional counterparts and external agencies alike. We are looking for someone with intellect, work ethic, and contagious enthusiasm. This is a high visibility role as part of a dynamic team, working alongside a fellow Brand Manager and supported by a Marketing Coordinator. Note: This role will be in our Napa office T/W/Th and remote M/F.
Essential Functions

  • Monitor and manage the day-to-day health and needs of your brands, from tasting notes and point-of-sale (POS) to pricing and packaging changes
  • Develop exciting and creative POS materials with the partnership of Design and Promotions teams ranging from paper POS to eye-catching mass displays
  • Liaise with Sales on a regular basis to understand their needs and arm them with the best tools to sell (plan to get out into market multiple times throughout the year)
  • Provide feedback to our agency partners on media executions such as social media posts
  • Work with agencies to update creative content such as photography, videography, and websites, as needed
  • Pull and Analyze Company Data from multiple platforms such as Nielsen, IRI, PowerBI (Note: It’s okay if you aren’t familiar with these exact platforms as will as you have the ability and desire to learn)
  • Represent your brands in regular PLM (Product Lifecycle Marketing) meetings to make any needed changes to packaging or product. Lead both new product innovations within your brands and work to retire unhealthy SKUs, as needed
  • Monitor the market landscape and keep a pulse on the competition – what’s working? What’s not? Proactively update key stakeholders and make recommendations on how best to position your brands to win in market
  • Ideate and execute big creative brand ideas, from partnerships/sponsorships and events to TV and print ads and more.
  • Meet regularly with finance counterparts to update budget, code invoices, and understand P&L
  • Regularly update Marketing Director on day-to-day workings of your brands and proactively bring problems, solutions, and creative ideas to the table
  • Developing sound and strategic annual brand plans for each of your brands, keeping both budget and ROI in mind. Translate into a compelling PowerPoint presentation and deliver to Executive team
  • Coach and partner with Marketing Coordinator on the team, who will support you as needed with tasks such as updating tasting notes and shipping wine
Qualifications:
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive
  • Ideally experience working with syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI, etc.) to pull data (or the ability to learn quickly)
  • Passion for building big commercial brands, with a knack for creative build-branding ideas
  • Strong presentation skills to include the ability to present to management and large groups with confidence and clarity
  • A can-do attitude and an excitement for learning
  • Communication is key, especially given your various stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to take action on said data, proactively making timely and sound recommendations
  • Ability to travel approximately once/quarter
  • Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs., or a 9L case of wine
  • Years of Experience: 5+ years relevant experience in wine and/or CPG marketing
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Be at least 21+ years of age
  • Have the ability to drive and have your own vehicle
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, reprioritize and pivot to meet the needs of the business

  • Ability to build relationships throughout the company (role will frequently liaise with cross-functional counterparts in winemaking, finance, project lifecycle management, design, and more) and with agency partners
  • Knowledge of wine and/or desire to expand knowledge
  • Education: B.A. or B.S., preferably in Business/Marketing; MBA a plus

Salary Range: $69,100.00 - $128,300.00
The starting pay will be based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, training, education, and geographic location. TFE offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, PTO, wellness programs and fertility and family building benefits. We also provide a 401(k) plan where TFE may make a discretionary profit-sharing contribution.
