Summary of Job Purpose:
  • Ensures that all Accounts Receivable related transactions are recorded accurately and timely.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepares bank deposits
  • Reviews and distributes overdue receivable report to Controller
  • Performs miscellaneous general accounting related duties as assigned
  • Understanding Accounts Receivable policies.
  • Prepares various month end journal entries and assists in month end closing procedures.
  • Reconciles and balances bank statements monthly
  • Balances and reports cash for all accounts daily
  • Balances account receivable monthly
  • Initiates and resolves past due collections with customers
  • Works with Customer Service in collection process
  • Produces invoices and posts payments
  • Distributes new exchange rates at the beginning of each month
  • Lead on scanning/verification of accounting documents
  • Tracks and verifies payment against invoices
  • Maintaining customer records/master data in multiple systems

Job requirements

Education and Experience:
Basic Qualifications
  • (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee
  • International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within
  • Minimum of 3 years of A/R experience
  • The meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • SAP experience; ERP implementation experience

Skills and Abilities:
  • The employee maybe required to work beyond normal working hours from time to time as the workload dictates.
  • Thorough attention to detail and accuracy
  • Microsoft: Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
  • Must be able to prioritize work load in order of importance while being able to make decisions quickly on accounts and interact with customers
  • Knowledge of ERP system- SAP experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Exhibits clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Works and communicates effectively at all organizational levels and across functional areas
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment with multiple concurrent assignments

Physical Requirements - Office:
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
