We are currently looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to add to our dynamic team.

About The Role:

As the Accounts Receivable Clerk, you are responsible for preparing and verifying customer payments and transactions by creating and submitting invoices, including past due and delinquent account holders. You will work with the Collections Manager and the Accounting Manager to reconcile revenue accounts receivable, and maintain records related to accounts receivable. You will play a central role in maintaining an accurate ledger of current status of customer accounts and highlighting customer discrepancies and past due amounts.

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborates with the Collections Manager to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic (at least bimonthly) basis.
• Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent account holders to request payment.
• Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.
• Assists Accounting Manager in reconciling revenue accounts each month.
• Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.
• Researches customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Collections Manager and other staff.
• Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
• Relays changes of information to appropriate employees.
• Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers.
• Assists in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger.
• Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• At least two years of accounts receivable experience required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
