YOUR IMPACT:

Reporting to the Head of Financial Operations, North America as a highly valued member of the team, you will be working with the Offshore and Onshore Billing team ensure the delivery of quality Client Billing produced with a high level of accuracy and according to billing timetables. Lead the design of the processes, systems and organization aligned with the WPP Group target operating model, global process and organization design standards and chosen specialized tools as well as WPP policies. Actively manage the onshore Collections Team activities and support the team members' growth through training, mentoring, coaching, target setting and performance review. Work with Offshore Cash Applications team.

You will participate in bringing the vision of the WPP transformation program to life in the North American market, with a particular focus on the Finance function across North America, as it evolves, and participate in the design and deployment of a new ERP, Workday, across WPP in North America.

YOUR KEY AEAS of FOCUS:

  • Analyse collections trends at the consolidated and business unit levels and coordinate with internal business unit stakeholders on escalated accounts.
  • Assist Head of Financial Operations with employee annual salary reviews based of up performance
  • Oversee staff members and ensure all past-due balances are actively pursued.
  • Perform annual staff appraisals & objective settings as directed by senior management
  • Set collection targets and establish measurement metrics for staff members, mentor and Provide feedback to staff members.
  • Prepare, deliver, and facilitate internal business presentations and meetings
  • Ensure accurate and timely Cash Application Process
  • Provide high quality billing services at an appropriate cost level, based on a right sized and skilled organization. Ensure shared services teams are appropriately trained and experienced to deliver and drive continuous process training.
  • Ensure a strong focus on controls, ensuring compliance is at the heart of all Client Billing operations.
  • Work with Auditors/Accounting team to comply with Risk and control metric
  • Provide guidance on Client Billing functional areas for the new ERP.
  • Develop a strong service culture, providing measurable quality of service through billing processes. Deploy appropriate SLAs and KPI monitoring to support collaborative service quality acceptance.
  • Drive AR strategy including sizing group and talent structure to meet the needs of the growing and changing business.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure end to end quality of service in the Billing team, in collaboration with the Functional Lead of the Offshore Centre. Manage and monitor the quality of Client Billing work performed measuring accuracy and performance.
  • Maintain contact and good working relationships with all Business Unit Finance Directors and CFOs through regular review meetings which cover performance as well as issues and resolution.
  • Hold monthly meetings with Finance Operations management to identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual Billing reporting to Group reporting.
  • Monitor department performance and KPIs
  • Ensure any Customer specific reporting is delivered on time, where required.
  • Conduct meetings with Collection team members to review targets, set objectives and performance.
