About the Role:

The Finance team handles everything "money" at PitchBook including accounting, quote-to-cash, payroll, compliance and budgeting for our fast-paced and high-growth company. The team supports the growth of PitchBook by providing actionable insights on the company's financial health, all while working with a fun, energetic team!
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager of Billing and Accounts Receivable to join our Finance Team. The Manager of Billing and Accounts Receivable will be responsible for managing a team of 5, overseeing the billing and collections process for our recurring revenue model and working collaboratively with offshore teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in subscription billing and collections, strong project management skills, data-driven decision-making abilities and a customer-centric approach to billing and collections.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
- Conduct regular audits of billing and collections processes and documentation to ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations
- Ensure timely and accurate billing and collections for our recurring revenue model, with a focus on customer satisfaction and retention
- Collaborate with or lead cross-functional teams, including Sales, Customer Success and Finance, to resolve billing and collections issues and optimize processes
- Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested
- Manage special projects related to billing and collections, including system upgrades and process improvements
- Monitor and report on key billing and collections metrics, using data to drive decision-making and process improvements
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the billing and accounts receivable collections team in Seattle, including coaching, training and performance management of team members
- Work with offshore teams to ensure consistent processes and practices across regions
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting
Skills and Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in billing and accounts receivable collections, with at least 3 years of experience in a leadership role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel and the ability to pick up new systems and software easily
- Experience with Salesforce and Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning preferred
- Customer-centric approach to billing and collections, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
- Strong project management skills and experience leading process improvement initiatives

Compensation
- Target annual bonus percentage: 12.5%
- Annual base salary: $105,250-$139,050
- Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.
Working Conditions:
The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
