Overview:

This role will be a key part of the management of Wendy’s daily cash flow activity and will complete monthly reconciliations of A/R, Gift Card and Corporate Cash accounts. This role will also facilitate the collection of past due balance and the cash application on all revenue streams; including royalty fees, advertising fees and sublease rent for Domestic and International markets.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly reconciliation of Corporate cash, gift card and AR subledger accounts. Ensure all activity is posted timely to the general ledger and prepare any needed monthly journal entries.
• Research outstanding payments on account or tolerance variances and communicate with customers to ensure correct application of receipts in timely manner.
• Assist with the preparation of reports, audit requests and other project work as needed.
• Daily deposit of manual checks to multiple banking institutions. Ensure accurate log of each check and the cost center. Collaborates with other departments, as necessary, for proper application.
• Reconciliation of new and existing Int’l Promissory Notes and Accounts Receivable Reserves and preparation of monthly journal entries.
• Perform application of cash receipts related to various types of accounts receivable, including but not limited to royalties, advertising, rents, etc.
• Play a key role in the management of our daily cash flow activity by monitoring all Corporate cash accounts and working closely with Treasury to ensure all cash is reporting accurately.

What we expect from you

• Strong technical, analytical and problem solving skills
• Notes Receivable and Interest amortization experience a plus. Prior experience with Oracle Cloud (Receivables, Order Management & General Ledger modules).
• Ability to work effectively, meet the deadlines assigned, and make sound decisions with limited supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Product Suite, advanced Excel user.
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
• 1-3 years of Accounting experience required, 2-4 years preferred.

The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position.* The target annual bonus for this role is 7.5% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance. Director and above roles are also eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive award program.
