Minimum qualifications:

• OR four years relevant experience can substitute the degree requirement
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution that included at least 27 semester hours of accounting or auditing coursework

Job description:

This position completes accounts receivable (AR; e.g., billing/collections) work for this 180-bed nursing home. This includes billing private accounts, Medicaid, Hospice, Medicare parts A and B as well as any other third party insurers and supplemental insurance policies tied to the Medicare billings. In addition, this position also does VA per diem billing. This position will track the Medicaid status of residents, including working with Social Services, Admissions, County technicians, residents, and/or families. The Accountant I will also process resident refunds and assist residents and/or families with lump sum distributions from Department of Veteran Affairs.

Colorado Veterans Community Living Center (VCLC) at Fitzsimons is a beautiful 180-bed, skilled nursing facility serving Colorado’s veterans. At Fitzsimons, we provide long term care, short term rehab and have a secured memory care neighborhood and are conveniently located on the medical campus with UC Hospital and the Aurora VA Medical Center.

Pay: $46,296.00 - $67,740.00 per year
