Position: Payroll Accountant

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio 45214

Pay Rate: $38-45/hr on (W2 Without benefits)

Duration: 12+ months contract position with the possibility of Hire

Payroll Accountant Staff Augmentation

This person will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, payroll.

system updates to include new hires, terminations, changes to employee allocations, pay.

rate changes, accurate calculation of taxes, deductions and withholdings and timely filing

and remittances of the same.

They will be working on:

• Accurate and timely processing of employee bi-weekly payroll including over- time and shift differential.

• Auditing timesheets ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local regulations, wage and hour laws and compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreements for union employees

• Month end reporting including accurate payroll journal entries to the General Ledger including maintenance of supporting documents and schedules.

• Ensuring the system is configured for accurate deductions and withholdings including benefits and garnishments.

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of all payroll updates including employee allocations, new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.

• Ensuring payroll and tax documents are accurate and filed on a timely basis including and not limited to 940s, 941s, 944s, W2s and W3s.

• Facilitates audits by providing accurate records and documentation to auditors.

• Participate in payroll audits ensuring up to date employee information.

• Proactively resolve payroll problems e.g., overlooked holidays, late payments etc.

• Attending to payroll inquiries from employees while maintaining strict confidentiality where required

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Identify areas of inefficiencies and provide improvement recommendations
