Compensation: $8.00 / hour

As a Junior Accountant you will perform accounts receivable and bank reporting functions. Under the supervision of a Senior Accountant, you will assist with year end audit, along with other admin tasks, as needed.


Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain updated documentation and comply with internal processes.
  • Preparation and presentation of financial reports
  • You will be responsible for staying abreast of US state and federal guidelines as well as GAAP standards.
  • Other administrative tasks as needed, such as accounts receivable and bank reporting
  • Manual or automated import of financial data from third party platforms
  • Perform accounting tasks which may include but are not limited to:
  • Inventory reconciliations, month-end closing
  • Sales tax returns and payments


Requirements
  • Minimum Download Speed: 6 Mbps
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must have a reliable internet connection with the following bandwidth requirements:
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Processor: Core i5 or higher
  • A quiet, private place in your home where you can work without background noise and interruption.
  • CPA with audit experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Accounting Technology (QBO, Xero, Dext, Bill.com, Melio, SAP and related technologies)
  • Must possess your own laptop/desktop that meets the following minimum qualifications:
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, ERP Systems (i.e. SAP Business One)
  • Strong understanding of accounting best practices and norms (USGAAP and IFRS highly desired)
  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance with minimum two years of accounting experience
  • Minimum Upload Speed: 5 Mbps
  • RAM: 8GB or higher
