We are a successful custom materials and automotive services company looking for an energetic AR/Accounting Specialist who will play a vital role in managing financial aspects related to accounts receivable, estimating of new business and sourcing new materials. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in finance and procurement, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and suppliers. Responsibilities


What You Can Expect Day-to-Day:


  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and relevant regulations, including ethical sourcing practices and supplier diversity initiatives.
  • Utilize historical data, benchmarks, and industry standards to develop accurate and competitive manufacturing cost estimates.
  • Prepare and send invoices to customers.
  • Generate comprehensive and well-organized estimate documentation, including cost breakdowns, assumptions, and justifications.
  • Evaluate alternative manufacturing methods and processes to optimize costs, quality, and lead times.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for manufacturing projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Process and record incoming payments from customers into ERP database.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline workflows.
  • Ad hoc assignments/projects.
  • Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors based on quality, reliability, cost, and delivery capabilities. Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to drive favorable terms and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Analyze project requirements, specifications, and drawings to understand manufacturing needs and scope.
  • Prepare weekly collections communications to clients, maintaining consistent contact with customers.
  • Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the organization's goals, considering cost optimization, supplier performance, and risk management.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze procurement data, trends, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement, cost-saving opportunities, and report on key procurement KPIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, production, and procurement, to gather relevant information and validate estimates.


Requirements


What it Takes


Minimum Required


  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Confidentiality.
  • 2+ years' experience in Finance, AR, Procurement.
  • Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Dependability.
  • Extreme accuracy in mathematical skills, data entry.
  • Self-starter who is very organized and able to multi-task.
