The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth ( HSC ) is one of the nation’s distinguished graduate academic health science centers, dedicated to education, research, clinical care and community engagement. HSC is composed of the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, School of Biomedical Sciences, School of Health Professions, School of Public Health, College of Pharmacy, and College of Nursing.

Position Summary

The VP of Marketing & Communications is responsible for:

• Providing strategic leadership in the overall planning, development, and implementation of the University’s internal and external, marketing, branding, media relations, communications and crisis management efforts to support the University.
• Demonstrating a commitment to inclusive excellence in all areas of marketing and communications.
• Assuming a leadership role in working with the President and other University leaders in the development of strategic initiatives related to the University’s marketing objectives, including supporting the University’s strategic plan and roadmap.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least seven (7) years of direct management experience with demonstrated success leading and motivating teams as well as managing cross-functional teams.
• At least ten (10) years of senior-level management experience directing strategic marketing and communications, with a successful track record of designing and implementing integrated branding, marketing, and communication strategies, including traditional, digital, and social media.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in marketing, communications, business, public affairs, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in external relations and communications, or a similar field.
• Knowledge of corporate communication.
