Marketing Communications Manager Jobs

Essentia Advisory Partners is a Houston-based consulting firm focused on partnering with energy and commodity trading clients to maximize the return on investment from ETRM technologies. Essentia is looking for a marketing & communications manager to join our team. We are seeking ambitious and energetic applicants who are eager to learn and to help us expand. We value your knowledge and perspective and prioritize personal and career development.

The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for representing the company's brand as effectively as possible. This will include an acceleration of sales through successful marketing campaigns, and developing a strategy to execute all external communications. The outcome of these goals will lead to greater demand for the company's products and services.

Responsibilities

This role will assist with increasing brand exposure, maintaining brand integrity, and managing the public face of our company. This includes:

• Work cross-functionally with different organizations
• Track data on effectiveness of campaigns
• Create and implement compelling marketing content
• Have a deep understanding of the company's products and goals

1.) Websites(s)

• We’ll equip you with the necessary domain knowledge and all the necessary subject matter expertise and inputs.
• Take a lead role in website refresh. This includes facilitating internal product offering copy development
• Substantial copy writing is required so you’ll have opportunity to really shine here.

2.) Social Media

• Similar to the above, take a lead role in organizing the overall publishing calendar of industry topics but also lighter, human interst content (employee celebrations, announcements).
• This is envisioned to be primarily editing vs writing.
• Envisioned is the separation of substantial, already-written copy writing into a series of short-form vignettes, each leaving off with a hook to the next installment.
• We’ll equip you with the necessary domain knowledge and all the necessary subject matter expertise and inputs.

3.) Communications

• Work with outsourced companies for SEO, PR, and social media as necessary. For example, we have a desire to begin utilizing Google Adwords, and equivalent offerings.
• Proofread and verify content and communications as required
• Interface with leadership teams for content approvals
• Create/edit a range of materials from emails, newsletters, internal/external communications, press releases, blog posts, and more.
• Collaborate with various internal stakeholders to create and deliver creative, high-quality marketing, advertising, and communication products through a variety of channels (website, social media, and more)

Qualifications

• Expert-level skills with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word.
• Experience working in energy commodities, oil & gas, electricity, renewables is a plus
• 3-5 years relevant work experience

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English, or an affiliated discipline.
2. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
3. Substantial copy writing experience – this is a writing-heavy position.
