Salary: $64,000 per year

Reports to: Executive Director

Position Summary: The Marketing & Communications Coordinator will work with the enterprise store managers and Stillaguamish leadership to ensure the organization and utilization of marketing materials and brand initiatives. Enterprise stores for the Stillaguamish Tribe include River Rock Smoke Shop, River Rock Tobacco & Fuel and 210 Cannabis Co. T he ideal candidate is a highly organized individual, lending them the ability to dig in and solve problems in real time. Under the direction of the Executive Director, this role will rely on its ability to function within the company ecosystem to benefit overarching goals. Strong organizational and communication skills are critical in communicating across departments. This position will be onsite, however will work closely with multiple enterprise locations locally and will often travel to these locations on a daily basis.

Position Qualifications

• A valid Washington State Driver’s License is required for employment
• Must have experience in marketing for the cannabis industry
• Must pass all required background checks and pre-employment drug screen (pre-employment drug screen will not include THC)
• Must be 21 years or older
• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Marketing or other related field or 2-3 years of relevant experience preferred
• Must be insurable under the Tribe’s auto insurance policy; and meet the tribes driver eligibility criteria

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Market the needs of enterprises on pertinent social media platforms as well as create content for in store marketing screens as well as for websites through WordPress.
• Support brand and marketing activities and launches by assembling, managing inventory of, and distributing marketing materials and assets.
• Assist with event planning and all promotional functions.
• Conduct market research and reporting on the success of sales and marketing activities.
• Market the needs of enterprises using pertinent software programs for digital, text and app based programs.
• Track the marketing budget in conjunction with the store managers, ensuring all items have been accounted for in the overall budget.
• Develop promotions for each store based on store inventories and sales of new, overstock or promotional products.
• Play a key role in communicating the marketing initiatives and programs for Stillaguamish enterprises by scheduling, running and attending intercompany meetings, capturing notes and action items, and acting as the key person in ensuring brand and marketing strategies are executed.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Ability to work in Adobe Create Suite, Google Administration, Google Workspace, Meta Administration and WordPress Administration
• Ability to photograph products for advertising purposes
• Ability to effectively develop advertisement content for text and app based advertisement
• Must have experience in graphic design and digital marketing for cannabis products
• Ability to effectively navigate and post on most popular social media and marketing platforms
• Must have an understanding of Search Engine Optimization to assist in boosting the visibility of our websites and products
• Ability to resize product photos for text based advertising
• Must have experience with event planning from a marketing standpoint
• Ability to utilize online advertising and marketing sites for cannabis products. E.g. Springbig, NW Leaf
• Ability to establish a strong working relationship with media outlets to promote events and product advertisement
• Ability to work within the compliant cannabis market
• Ability to work in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PPT, Adobe and Outlook) and other design software to create sales and marketing content for live screens, leaflet flyers etc
