Job Description
Overview


Responsible for overseeing centralized and/or regionalized operational processes that impact hospice wide business operations.




Responsibilities
  • Works with cross functional teams to ensure processes are performed and meeting regulatory guidelines and internal policies are being followed.
  • Makes recommendations on operational functionality within EMR platforms and other Amedisys technology platform investments and how they can be used to gain efficiencies in day-to-day business operations.
  • Measures performance results of assigned team members to determine strengths, performance gaps, and future needs of the company.
  • Ensures compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory mandates including but not limited to abiding to the terms of the Amedisys Compliance Program.
  • Establishes continuous improvement by reviewing and recommending policies and procedure updates that impact hospice culture.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for making recommendations regarding streamlining operational process to maximize operational and financial efficiencies using technology and people.
  • Establishes and maintains solid relationships with business unit leadership and other senior leaders.
  • Partners with direct reports and cross-functional leaders to identify potential areas for operational innovations to meet customer expectations.
  • Ensures data access internally among local, regional, and executive leaders, as appropriate, to assist in reviewing performance and in making business decisions based on results.
  • Partners with hospice president to reassess priorities and evolve centralized functions to meet changing needs of business and support overall company strategy and goals.
  • Responsible for day-to-day oversight of budget and functional processes carried out by assigned centralized team leaders to ensure timely and accurate performance.
  • Monitors and evaluates employee performance. Holds employees accountable for the attainment of defined goals and objectives. Executes effective performance redirection when needed. Develops employees through coaching, mentoring, and formal/on the job training and development opportunities.
  • Continually works to identify business functions of the centralized team(s) that can be successfully performed in a cost-effective, high-quality manner.
  • Routinely assesses centralized division performance and recommends and implements strategies to improve results.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction by leading collaborative development of service level agreements, by adhering to those agreements, and by monitoring cost, quality, and timeliness of agreements.
  • Leads and motivates staff to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Periodically reviews the recommended staffing matrix and productivity measures across teams and makes recommendations on changes to the staffing matrix and productivity goals.

Qualifications


Required-

  • Executive level experience including large scale P&L responsibility.
  • Seven (7+) years' management experience.
  • Five (5+) years' healthcare experience including P&L (profit/loss) ownership experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Business Administration or related field.
  • Experience managing at scale including large teams (200+ employees, multiple functional areas, multi state teams, large scale remote teams).

Preferred-

  • Proficiency with HCHB application.
  • Current, unencumbered RN license.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration or related field.
  • Five (5+) years' Hospice leadership experience.
