Field Operations Manager Jobs

As Giga Energy’s Field Operations Manager, you will manage Giga’s flare mitigation and bitcoin mining facilities across Texas, the United States, and the globe. You will be responsible for maintaining high uptime at every facility. As the primary point of contact for all mining operations, you must always be in tune with the status and tasks required to operate each site effectively. In addition to managing a team of field technicians, you will also work closely with the power systems team to ensure generator uptime at each site. You will also communicate with external parties such as hosting customers on the status of each site.

Responsibilities

• Represent Giga Energy by consistently exhibiting a professional manner
• Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
• Train and direct field technicians in an efficient and effective manner to ensure smooth deployments and continued operations
• Maintain a culture that prioritizes safety and quality
• Ensure optimal site uptime
• Use software tools such as Foreman to manage site uptime
• Handle the site deployment process end-to-end, including coordinating logistics, build out, equipment installation, etc
• Communicate with power generation team in order to ensure generator uptime
• Serve as the primary point of contact between Giga and project stakeholders such as joint venture partners, hosting clients, and oil and gas operators

Requirements

• Proficient and familiar with software tools
• Strong relationship management skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts
• Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed
• 3+ years of relevant experience at a bitcoin mining facility and managing teams
• Able to travel for short and extended trips as needed (up to 10%)
• BS or MS in business or technical discipline and/or evidence of exceptional experience
• Ability to adapt to ever-changing work assignments in a fast-paced work environment
• Must have 3+ years of experience in the field
• Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, strong writing skills, grammatical skills
