Controller Jobs

We are looking for a Controller who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Controller is responsible for providing financial support to the Manufacturing facility to enhance profitability through a detailed understanding and review of operating costs.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the completion of projects including planning; assigning, monitoring, and reviewing progress and accuracy of work; evaluating results, etc.
• Ensure the accuracy of the standard costs starting with the bill of materials and item costs, labor routings, labor rates, as well as overhead assignments.
• Assist with estimating, tracking, and reporting costs associated with new product development and contract manufacturing partners.
• Analyze and model changes in product design, raw materials, overhead, manufacturing methods, etc., for effects on production costs.
• Analyze and report manufacturing efficiency variances and determine corrective action requirements. Ensures items are correctly classified and all reporting is prepared in accordance with GAAP
• Develop financial KPIs with a focus on driving the overall profitability of the manufacturing facility.
• Provide insight into product costs and other items materially impacting profit.

Requirements:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access) and GAAP.
• Progressive experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to drive process improvement.
• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
• Must understand process flows and have an above-average understanding of process capabilities within their facilities.
• CPA or CMA is preferred
• Working knowledge of Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, Jedox, or Planful tools is a huge plus
• 7+ years of experience handling standard cost accounting.
• Proven track record as a strategic finance leader managing cost accounting, production planning, and operations analysis.

This onsite opportunity in the Castaic area offers a base salary of up to $200k + bonus
