Position Overview
Our Client seeking a VP-Sales/VP-Business Development with a great Rolodex and Experience. As the Vice President of Sales, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand our customer base. You will lead a team of sales professionals and work closely with other departments, including marketing, product development, and customer success, to achieve our business objectives. This is a senior leadership position that requires a strong understanding of the IT industry, exceptional sales management skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth collaboration and alignment across departments.
- Collaborate with marketing and business teams to align sales strategies with overall company goals, product roadmap, and market trends.
- Outlining and managing sales budgets.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to drive individual and team success.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our brand and generate connections.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify new opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Define and refine the sales process, including lead generation, prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, and closing deals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, strategic partners, and industry influencers to drive sales opportunities and market penetration.
- Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze data, and provide regular reports to senior management, highlighting progress, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company sales targets and objectives.
Qualifications
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish and maintain connections with key stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior sales leadership role may be advantageous.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience working in a selling role and with sales technology and CRM software.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a sales position.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and insights to make informed decisions.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful sales strategies, driving revenue growth, and meeting sales targets.
- Strong understanding of IT products, services, and market trends.
