Role and accountabilities:
SiMa.ai is at the cusp of delivering a world-class MLSoC platform and ML enabled embedded edge products and is seeking a sales leader who will lead the worldwide sales team. As the worldwide sales leader, you will grow sales teams across all major geos, create and build sales team infrastructure and processes and deliver the corporate goals and metrics. You will define the sales growth strategy and build a robust sales delivery model to set up and achieve stretch sales revenue targets and key objectives. You must have demonstrated experience in building new product revenues from scratch and achieving significant volume and scale.
This role encompasses the below key areas of responsibility:
- Regular review of sales opportunities and account business plans and manage the monthly revenue forecast
- Build and establish effective relationships with a partner channel ecosystem
- Establish long-term business relationships with key high revenue/growth customers and create qualified sales opportunity with these customers
- Build and manage a robust sales operations process management, including opportunity management and forecasting
- Actively channel market intelligence and drive product roadmap discussions
- Align with executive leaders, business and engineering teams to outline the company’s strategic plans and those for the worldwide sales team
- Build and leverage a worldwide, cross-functional team to deliver sales targets, with focus on product segment revenue
- Consistently deliver per the short-term sales/revenue quotas and deliverables
Experience and expertise areas:
This role requires a seasoned sales leader who actively leads the global sales team by being hands-on, engaged, proactive, accountable and results-driven. In particular we require:
- Able to articulate complex product and technical content to customers and partners
- Demonstrated track record of successfully and consistently growing revenue for new innovative technology-based solutions with focus on qualifying new customers and business opportunities
- Experience selling into robotics, surveillance, autonomous systems and automotive markets or vision applications is highly desirable. Good to have operating level understanding of embedded processor systems and architectures and ML solutions for the cloud or embedded applications
- Bachelor degree (or higher) preferably in computer science or electrical engineering
- Strong and established business relationship with key customers and ecosystem partners in this product/market segment
- Knowledge of pricing strategies, channel economics, and negotiation tactics
- 20+ years of sales experience in semiconductor IP or embedded edge and/or software products, with a mix of startup and public companies in significant executive leadership roles (i.e. independently leading the sales function for a BU in a large public company or leading a startup/mid-sized company)
- Experience with leading and closing extended, multi-phased business transactions and partnerships

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $270,000 - $300,000 plus variable incentive (MBO/sales-commission). The actual annual salary paid for this position will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skills, prior experiences, qualifications, expertise, work location, total target compensation, training, company needs, and current market demands. The annual salary range for this position is subject to change and may be adjusted in the future.
